I established Moving Type in early 2006. I work from home, but rarely in pajamas. (That's just not productive.) My previous jobs include stints as a corporate copywriter, a non-profit communications director, and an aspiring career student.

I provide copywriting services for a variety of business clients and serve as editor for LifeMeetsWork. To keep my journalism chops up, I write a semi-weekly technology column for three Wisconsin editions of
The Business News.

When I got an English degree from St. Norbert, people asked if I was going to teach. When I got a master’s in journalism from Marquette, I heard pithy diatribes about the evils of modern media. But when I say I write for a living, I get wistful looks and atta girls.

Yeah, it’s a sweet gig. And I’m good at it. Plus, every job is like a mini-seminar. So I get to keep that lifelong learner in me satisfied without the tuition bills.
